Acharya Policy

This Acharya Policy ("Policy") is issued by Tinfo Edutech Private Limited ("Company", “We”, “Us”, “Our”) and governs the relationship between the Company and all professionals, including teachers, tutors, trainers, mentors, or coaches (“Acharyas” or “You”) who register and render educational, training, or tutoring services through the online platform, StarAcharya (“Platform”), accessible at: [https://staracharya.com].
This Policy is to be read in conjunction with:
- the Terms of Use, and
- the Privacy Policy
Use of the Platform to provide services is conditional upon your acceptance of the above policies and this Acharya Policy.
Upon successful registration and subject to Company’s sole discretion, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Platform solely to list, promote, and deliver your services to learners.
You shall not sublicense, assign, or commercially exploit your access to the Platform without the Company’s prior written consent.
The Company reserves the right to deny, suspend, or revoke access to any Acharya, with or without cause, at its sole discretion.
By onboarding, You represent and warrant that:
- You possess the required educational qualifications, experience, and legal eligibility to offer your services.
- All information submitted (educational background, certifications, achievements) is true, accurate, complete, and will be updated in a timely manner.
- You will not misrepresent yourself, your credentials, or your services in any manner.
- You will not offer services or advice beyond your scope of knowledge or qualification.
The Company does not conduct background verification of the Acharya and relies solely on the representations made. You agree that any false or misleading representation will make you solely liable for all legal consequences.
The Acharya shall:
Deliver services professionally, ethically, and with due skill, care, and diligence.
Maintain appropriate learner conduct and confidentiality of interactions.
Refrain from any discriminatory, abusive, offensive, or illegal conduct, whether verbal, textual, or visual, during online sessions.
Maintain data privacy and not solicit learners to transact outside the Platform.
Refrain from uploading or sharing copyrighted, pirated, offensive, or illegal content.
You understand that your relationship with the Company is not an employment, agency, franchise, or joint venture. You operate as an independent service provider.
You are responsible for all tax obligations, legal registrations, or licenses required under Indian law or your local jurisdiction.
All Platform content, trademarks, curriculum, technology, and design remain the exclusive intellectual property of the Company.
You shall not:
- Reproduce, copy, sell, transmit, or exploit any part of the Platform content;
- Claim ownership or authorship of content provided by the Company or posted by other Acharyas or learners.
You grant the Company a perpetual, royalty-free, transferable license to use any original content, lesson material, videos, or media created by you for services delivered on the Platform for promotion, publishing, or educational reuse.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and founder from and against any and all:
- Claims, actions, suits, demands, or investigations;
- Losses, liabilities, damages, fines, penalties;
- Legal costs or attorney’s fees
arising from:
- Your breach of this Acharya Policy, the Terms of Use, or any applicable law;
- Misrepresentation of qualifications;
- Misconduct, abuse, or illegal activity during or outside sessions;
- Infringement of intellectual property or data privacy.
You agree to maintain strict confidentiality of all information shared by learners and the Company, and not disclose or misuse it for personal or commercial gain.
You shall promptly return or destroy all confidential information upon termination or on the Company’s request.
a. Term
This Policy becomes effective when you register on the Platform and continues until terminated.
b. Termination by Company
The Company may suspend or permanently revoke your access to the Platform without notice if:
- You breach this Policy, Terms of Use, or any applicable law;
- You engage in misconduct, harassment, or unethical behavior;
- You attempt to bypass the Platform for direct learner engagement.
c. Termination by Acharya
You may terminate your engagement by ceasing all usage of the Platform and notifying the Company at support@staracharya.com.
d. Post-Termination Obligations
- Your profile will be delisted;
- You shall return or destroy any confidential material;
- All licenses granted to you shall cease;
- The Company shall not owe you any further obligation.
This Policy may be modified at the sole discretion of the Company. Any material changes will be:
- Notified via email (if provided), or
- Published prominently on the Platform.
Continued usage post such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.

- The Company does not guarantee the number of learners or earnings potential for Acharyas.
- The Company is not responsible for learner behavior, payment delays (if not routed through us), or misuse of your material.
- All services are rendered by Acharyas at their own risk.
This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Indian law, particularly the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
